"Don't know where to begin with how amazing the Rear View Band were on my big day. Having witnessed them play at weddings before and taking the key members of our wedding party to a night where the band played, we knew for sure they would definitely make the wedding reception unforgettable.

On top of their amazing performance on the night itself, the band were more than accommodating with some unique requests. The father & daughter dance was not only a song that the band do not have in their usual repertoire, but with an added twist for the last minute that the band had absolutely no issues with taking on, and the added bonus was the extra mile they took in adding their own accessories when playing it. I also performed on the wedding night itself as a surprise for my wife, but didn't finalise my decision until the night before, and all it took was a quick call to Jamie and he sorted everything I needed and made sure it all went exactly as planned.

The dance floor was packed from the moment the band played right until the very end of the night, and I cannot thank the band enough for their performance, help and keeping everyone entertained.

Would highly recommend to anybody looking for a band to suit any type of function as their professionalism and performance stood out far more than any other band we considered."

"Rear View played at our wedding and they were amazing! They are all really friendly and very efficient setting up. We loved the variety of music and the fact we could have ceilidh songs and normal songs and a dj section. Loads of our guests asked for the bands details after the wedding too.

In the lead up to the wedding the band were very helpful and we could email them with loads of questions and they were very quick to reply with an answer. It was great that we could choose the songs we wanted played and they learned our first dance song rather than us having to use a cd.

"I booked Rear View Music for my wedding last year and genuinely could not speak highly enough of their professionalism and performance on the night and the lead up to the event.  For someone who truly appreciates music, booking a band to play your wedding can be a harrowing experience; trawling through an endless number of band profiles, finding more or less the same generic set list, I was close to tears.  Devoid of optimism, I asked a friend who regularly gigs in Edinburgh if he happened to know of any good wedding bands that wouldn't cost the earth.  It turned out he did and he put me in touch with Jamie at Rear View Music.

I was organising my wedding from Australia, yet despite the obvious time zone issues and the very short notice Jamie was near instantaneous in replying to emails and could not have been more accommodating and friendly.  We discussed the musical tastes and he even specifically tailored a set to meet our requirements.  Any chance of a short Ceilidh set?  Not a problem.  Everything had gone too smoothly - I was starting to get a bit apprehensive - the price that he offered for a tailored set for four hours, including a ceilidh, was a fraction of the price of those I had previously been quoted by other bands offering a shorter set with no ceilidh.  It was too late to have doubts by this time so I just had to cross my fingers. 

I had no reason to worry. On the day the band turned up long before their start time to set up and sound check.  Make no mistake, this is no part time pub band making a bit of extra cash on the side, these are professional musicians who are dedicated to their craft.  From the first song they had everybody up on their feet and by the last there was all sorts of ridiculous 'dancing' happening.  They had even prepared a few surprise numbers to play on the night, a great touch.  I cannot thank Jamie and the band enough for their huge part in our wedding day as special as it was.  When our friends and family talk about our wedding the band always get a mention.  I usually would not use as many superlatives in an entire year as I have in the above three paragraphs, however Rear View Music earned every one of them.  Book them and find out for yourself."
